How To Find Your Truck Bed Length
Before purchasing truck bed accessories, it’s important to get an accurate measurement of your bed length. Keep in mind that the advertised bed length may differ slightly from the actual measurement used for accessory fitment. Here's how to measure it the right way:
Step-by-Step Guide
- Grab a tape measure
- Get a helper – It's easier with two people to hold the tape in place.
- Take a measurement - Measure from the inside of the truck bed near the cab to the inside edge of the tailgate – Don’t include the tailgate itself.
- Compare your measurement - Match what you measured with the actual measurement that you will see when you select your truck.
Tip: Truck beds have standard sizes (5.5 ft, 6.5 ft, or 8 ft). These are not actual measurements and are only used as a well rounded number. Always use the "actual" bed length that we have listed when selecting your truck.
